Cybersex is the modern version of phone sex. Two people engage in sexual acts while being interconnected via the internet. Whilst in the recent past cybersex involved exchanging textual messages, the ever evolving webcam technology allows people today to come as close to an actual intercourse as humanly possible without being in the same physical space (see also: W2W; live private show).
